Gulab jamun
Ingredients:
- Gulab Jamun Mix - 1 packet
- Maida - 3-4 tablespoon
- Sugar - 4 1/2 cup
- Water - 5 Cups
- Cardamom Essence - 7-8 drops
- Rose White Essence - 1 teaspoon
Directions:
- In a bowl , add gulab jamun mix, maida and water. Knead it lightly and make a dough. Keep it aside for five minutes.
- Knead again lightly and make small balls.
- Heat oil in a deep pan , drop the balls into it and fry them on a medium flame.
- Once it turns golden brown, remove it on absorbent paper. Keep it aside.
- Heat a wide vessel, add sugar and water. Once the sugar is dissolved, strain to remove any impurities.
- Heat the syrup once again and let it boil. Once it starts boiling, reduce the flame and allow it to boil for 10-15 minutes or until the sugar syrup thickens lightly.
- Switch off the flame, add rose white and cardamom essence.
- Drop the fried balls into sugar syrup.
- Gulab Jamun is ready to eat.
