Ingredients:
- Potato - 1 cup, mashed and boiled
- Green Peas - 3/4 cup, boiled and mashed
- Green Chilli - 2 no, chopped
- Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin Seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Garam Masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Mango Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cornflour - 1 tablespoon
- Bread Crumb - 1/4 cup
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - for frying
- Ghee - 1 tablespoon
Directions:
- Heat ghee in a pan and fry the cumin seeds until they turn brown.
- Add green chillies and fry on a low fame for less than a minute.
- Add mango powder and remove the pan off the flame.
- In a bowl, add potatoes, peas, cornflour, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, fried mixture and mix well.
- Shape into small flat thin circles and coat it with bread crumbs.
- Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
- Aloo Tikki can be served with tomato sauce or pudina chutney.
